Questions

FAQs

How often should I have my system tuned up?
Twice a year works well for most homes: the AC in spring before cooling season, and the furnace or boiler in fall before heating season. Heat pumps run in both seasons, so they benefit from both visits.
What's the difference between a tune-up and a repair?
A tune-up is planned maintenance on a system that's working: cleaning, checking and testing so small problems get caught early. A repair fixes something that has already failed. If a tune-up turns up a problem, we explain it and the price before any repair work begins.
Do you service boilers?
Yes. Alliance services residential boilers. If your boiler isn't heating, see boiler repair.
Is there a maintenance plan?
Yes. The Alliance Comfort Club is $249 a year per home and includes two seasonal tune-ups (a 17-point AC tune-up and an 18-point furnace tune-up), priority scheduling, a $99 service call fee (non-members pay $120), 15% off repairs and 10% off system replacements. See the Comfort Club.
Do you offer maintenance for businesses?
Yes. Commercial HVAC and refrigeration maintenance is quoted by the number and size of your units. See maintenance agreements.
